If you live and work in Tofino, you are a part of this surf town. We want to help you embrace the Tofino lifestyle to the fullest, that’s why we offer a special local’s discount on all our surfboard rentals, wetsuits and paddleboards!
Yes, you read that right! Whether you’re looking to try out a new board, you’ve never surfed before and need a full setup, or you fancy a paddle on the inlet on a beautiful sunny day, we’ve got you covered. 😉
Here’s how to claim your local’s discount:
- Come by our shop with a proof of your Tofino residency (driver’s license, utility bill, pay stub, etc.)
- A valid credit card information is required to hold the rental, but you’re welcome to use any payment method you prefer (cash, debit, or another card).
- We’ll set you up with an account where we keep your wetsuit sizing information, a waiver and an equipment agreement, so you won’t have to deal with paperwork everytime you come to rent.
- Choose your gear and get ready to hit the waves! 🌊
It’s that easy! We’re committed to making surfing accessible to our local community because we believe everyone deserves to experience the joy of catching waves and exploring the beautiful waters of Tofino. Here’s what you get with your discount.

- You get complementary surf racks to put the board on top of the car for safe transport to the beach and back.
- We offer a $5 insurance for soft top surfboards for damages that may occur in the water.
- All rentals must be returned during opening hours. A $100 fee will be charged for equipment left outside after closing.
