stand up paddle board bear sighting

A special thing about exploring around Tofino while paddling is the connection you can make with the living world around you. Marine life in the ocean or even larger terrestrial animals in the rain forest. We had a rare black bear sighting this weekend on our stand up paddle board tour at Mackenzie Beach.
Obviously we would’t be able to guarantee these types of animals sightings, but pretty amazing what you can discover when you slow things down and explore in a natural way, stand up paddle boarding or canoeing. Its for this reason that our experience is more than a lesson. We’ll show how to paddle, then we’ll get out there and explore the unique west coast of Vancouver Island in Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks.
